MacOS Mojave Update – Google Backup and Sync (a.k.a Drive) requests control of System Events.

““Backup and Sync from Google“ wants access to control “System Events“. Allowing control will provide access to documents and data in “System Events“, and to perform actions within that app.” That’s what I am greeted to after I just completed the MacOS Mojave update (Version 10.14) and login after the install completed. I am welcomed by a prompt asking the following:

I didn’t allow access, so not sure if anything will break. Thought I would share this and see if anyone else is seeing any issues after not allowing access.

  1. I also chose “Don’t Allow” and now my Calendars on both my MacBook & Google Phone have lost all my Calendar Events that were in a Series?
