UPDATE: To disable signing in to chrome, go to Settings (scroll down to advanced) > Privacy and Security > Allow Chrome sign-in (disable this):
NO LONGER WORKS: Oh… here’s a little sneaky one. With the update of chrome (to the new rounder chrome Version 69.0), whenever you sign into gmail you’re automatically signed into chrome.
To disable this, enter: chrome://flags/#account-consistency into your chrome address bar and disable “Identity consistency between browser and cookie jar” relaunch chrome for it to take effect.
